Appalachian Therapy Center is a Medicare certified outpatient therapy clinic, and our staff have provided services to Blount County and surrounding area since 1981. We are continuously upgrading our professional skills, equipment, and programs to meet the growing needs of our patients and the medical community.

Rehabilitation Services

Our dynamic group of professionals include physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and a rehabilitation counselor. They provide quality rehabilitation services for referred neurological patients. Our team approach helps to rehabilitate the individual holistically, addressing all areas of dysfunction. Rehabilitation services include restoration of maximal function during ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, swallowing, eating, grooming, dressing, bathing and homemaking.

Our multi-faceted treatment approach addresses balance, coordination, motor control, and range of motion. On-site fabrication of splints and orthotics for the upper and lower extremities allows us to provide a full range of services for our patients.

Speech Pathology

Is available to address memory deficits, swallowing difficulties and speech / language skills for both adults and children.
